Face to face classes are great but sometimes due to circumstances, the pandemic/ the student’s limited time or due to long distances –  online class can be perfect and as good.

 

First, we have a trial meeting via Zoom/Facetime/Whatsapp video call/Facebook video call, to make sure you are happy with the set up, introduce ourselves and talk about how many classes you need and how often.

 

Second, you buy a ‘package’/bono of classes. It could be 1, 4, 6, 8 classes- you choose. These are paid for via bank transfer and are to be paid before the first class of the ‘package’.

 

Third, we start the classes that we have arranged.

 

In the first class we will talk about, and write down, the objectives and priorities of the  student in class.

I will share a google drive document with you where during the classes I take notes of vocabulary, pronunciation, mistakes, useful information and your homework (if you agree to homework). At the end of the class we go through the notes and check you understand everything.  The document we share can be written on by the teacher and the student during the class. After the class you can access the document to work on and study. The same document will be used for a month or more.

Sometimes, I will email pages for you to be able to see on your screen during class, or to print out before the class starts which we will use in class. I sometimes recommend using a textbook for the class (if it would help you achieve your objectives) which if you agree you would look for online or buy. This depends on you, your level and objectives.

 

Class Rules

Cancellations:

The class can be cancelled and not paid for, if the student tells Kim at least 15 minutes before the class. If the class is not cancelled before this time it must be paid for. This includes when the student doesn’t attend the class.

Payment:

Payment is by Bonos/packages of an agreed number of classes and paid before the classes start via a bank transfer. You must send a screen shot of the bank transfer before the classes start.

In class:

Try to only use English, no chewing gum is allowed and finally always be polite.
